Lots Of Snow!

Guess what! It snowed!!! Here's what our house looked like at around 10:00 am. If you look close, you'll see Malo and Mateo playing.

Every year we take the boys to see the salmon run. This time lil Malo wanted to take pictures. He quickly became frustrated because the fish wouldn't stay still long enough for him to get a good shot!

Happy Halloween

This year we gave the boys a costume catalog and let them pick out their costumes. Malo quickly picked out a Star Wars Clone Trooper General costume. Mateo took his time and finally selected the golfer costume. Man my kids are funny!

Corn Maze

Here we are at our annual trip to the Corn Maze.



We found all the check points and made it out of there in an hour and a half.

Mateo's First Day of School Ever

Mateo has talked about school for months. In fact, school was his motivation to use the potty a year ago. Well...his day has finally come. Here he is getting ready for his first day of school. My baby is all grown up!


And here he is with one of his teachers leaving school. She told us she's not supposed to have favorites but she can't help it with Mateo. Oh man....does he have her fooled! Just give it another week or so.

Great Wolf Lodge

Our trip to Great Wolf Lodge was a BLAST!! We came back shriveled up and smelling like chlorine. This was the wave pool that lil Malo was catching waves in.

On Mother's Day this year, the boys and I started a vegetable garden.



Here is Mateo with his carrot. He goes out almost everyday to pick one out and eat it. I guess that's one way to get them to eat their vegetables.

Updates

Okay....I (Michelle) am testing this blogging thing out. I've never done it before and Malo's been slacking so I thought I'd give it a shot. So much has happened since the last entry so here I go. Lil Malo had a VBS presentation. He did a skit and sang some songs.



We (Myself, lil Malo, Mateo) ran the Whaling Days Races.



Well.....there is tons more but my lunch break is over. If this works you'll be hearing from me a lot more.

iMac Is Back!

Well whataya know!? After a month without my trusty companion, iMac is back, alive, and ticking! Michelle is really happy! (Although she'll never admit it.) All I can say is, "Welcome home iMac, welcome home."

Malo's 7th Birthday Party

We celebrated Malo's 7th birthday by having a few of his friends over for a water party.

Malo was feeling brave in front of his friends.

He finally realized that the candles just won't stay out.
At the end of the day, everyone had a blast. It was a lot of fun but next time we're going to need a bigger swimming pool!

FORE!

We signed Malo up for a golf camp at Gold Mountain last week. He had tons of fun. At the end of the week, he got to play in a golf tournament at Village Greens in Port Orchard and I got to be his caddy!

He did very well considering this was his first time golfing. Now that softball is done, I hope we can go hit the links some time soon.

BOOM!

We had a great fourth, did you? Little Malo lit everything on fire while Mateo stayed back and watched. We had an awesome time a Jason and Jodie's party, even though it ended weird. Here are the pictures I took of some of the fireworks courtesy of Jake and his brother Gabe.

New Floors, Sort Of...

Michelle and I wanted to resurface the floors of our house, but I didn't want to do it. Thankfully, Marilyn and Jake stepped up to the task. Here's a before shot when we cleared out the front room and kitchen.

Hooked On A Feeling...

Did I tell you about the time when I hooked my finger?

Ok, I know what you're thinking. HOW? WHY? OUCH! So this is the hook that came with Malo's new fishing pole. I took it off so that he could practice casting and show off to his buddy Josh. A few minutes later, BAM! I set the hook in my finger.

A trip to the ER and three hours later, I'm free! To tell you the truth, it hurt me more explaining to the ER Registry Specialist what happened than the actual hook did.

Fishing Derby...

We took Malo to a fishing derby last Saturday at Island Lake. There were about 60 kids there between the ages of 5 and 10. Malo got a T-Shirt, a fishing pole, and the opportunity to catch two fish.

He wasn't too excited about the hook being inches above his hand. Notice the finger-tip grip technique he is using.

All in all it was a great fishing outing. I think we may have a little fisherman in Malo now...

Man down, MAN DOWN!!!

Bad news folks...
My beloved iMac is in critical condition. He's non responsive, won't eat, check email, or even wake up. It appears that sometime between Saturday night and early Sunday morning, the power went out and prematurely took the life from my poor unsuspecting iMac and his friend mister 17in Dell monitor. I'm not sure how to handle this, I'm not even sure I'm in the right state of mind to be posting this but I know that getting online and doing something is what he would want me to do.

I'll keep you posted on his condition as I seek professional help for both iMac and me.

Vacation Day One...

Michelle picked the perfect hotel for us to stay in. This is the view of Disneyland and California Adventure from our room. All we had to do was walk on over to the gates and boom, we're in!

80 MPH Michelle

Ok, so we're back from our family vacation to California. We went to Disneyland, California Adventure, and Knott's Berry Farm. I'm working on getting some pictures up but for now, here's a small video of Michelle going from 0 to 80 in 2 seconds on the Xcellerator ride in Knott's Berry Farm.

If you listen closely you can hear her screaming. hehe...

Another Tooth Story...

Since Malo's tooth surgery, his front two baby teeth have been very loose. We told him that if he let us pull it, we would get him a new Wii game. He aggreed but wanted to do it his way. This is what happened...

Of all the ways to yank a loose tooth, Malo chose to tie a string to it and shoot it out with a Nerf Gun. I've been proud of my son before, but this is his finest moment.

Malo's Special Tooth

Today Malo had his surgery to have his "Special Tooth" removed. All of us were a little nervous about the extraction but in the end, it wasn't so bad.
Here he is, just before his surgery.

See that bump? That's the extra tooth.
"I'm ok daddy."... sort of.

There it is in all of it's glory. I think were gonna make a necklace out of it.

Funny Surprise...

So my iMac has a built in webcam and this fun little program called Photobooth that allows you take pictures and videos. Now little Malo has played with it and taken a few hundred pictures but this morning I found this little gem...
