New Floors, Sort Of...

Michelle and I wanted to resurface the floors of our house, but I didn't want to do it. Thankfully, Marilyn and Jake stepped up to the task. Here's a before shot when we cleared out the front room and kitchen.

Hooked On A Feeling...

Did I tell you about the time when I hooked my finger?

Ok, I know what you're thinking. HOW? WHY? OUCH! So this is the hook that came with Malo's new fishing pole. I took it off so that he could practice casting and show off to his buddy Josh. A few minutes later, BAM! I set the hook in my finger.

A trip to the ER and three hours later, I'm free! To tell you the truth, it hurt me more explaining to the ER Registry Specialist what happened than the actual hook did.

Fishing Derby...

We took Malo to a fishing derby last Saturday at Island Lake. There were about 60 kids there between the ages of 5 and 10. Malo got a T-Shirt, a fishing pole, and the opportunity to catch two fish.

He wasn't too excited about the hook being inches above his hand. Notice the finger-tip grip technique he is using.

Here he is reeling in his first and only catch of the day! w00t!

All in all it was a great fishing outing. I think we may have a little fisherman in Malo now...

Man down, MAN DOWN!!!

Bad news folks...
My beloved iMac is in critical condition. He's non responsive, won't eat, check email, or even wake up. It appears that sometime between Saturday night and early Sunday morning, the power went out and prematurely took the life from my poor unsuspecting iMac and his friend mister 17in Dell monitor. I'm not sure how to handle this, I'm not even sure I'm in the right state of mind to be posting this but I know that getting online and doing something is what he would want me to do.

I'll keep you posted on his condition as I seek professional help for both iMac and me.
